Body of Baby Boy Found in Drainage Channel in Gowa

Residents found the body of a baby boy in a drainage channel on Jalan Sultan Hasanuddin, Gowa, Thursday, 10th February 2022.

– Residents found the body of a baby boy in a drainage channel on Jalan Sultan Hasanuddin, Katangka Village, Somba Opu District, Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi.


The baby's body was first discovered by a resident with the initials KR (46), starting when the witness was about to go to his house after selling at around 13.00 WITA, Thursday 10 February 2022.


Head of Public Relations of the Gowa Police, AKP Mangatas Tambunan, said that initially the witness suspected that the baby boy's body was just garbage in the drainage canal.


However, because he was suspicious, continued AKP Mangatas, then the witness examined it, and after being sure it was a baby corpse, the witness reported it to the head of the local RW, who then proceeded to Bhabinkamtibmas, Katangka Village, Bripka Muhammad Arafah.
