6 died when a Chemical plant exploded in Chenjiagang

At 2 o'clock on the afternoon of March 21, 2019, an explosion occurred in Chenjiagang Chemical Industrial Park, Xiangshui County, Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province. As of 7 pm, the accident has caused 6 deaths and 30 serious injuries.

According to the Beijing Youth Daily, the explosive substance is benzene, which is toxic and carcinogenic. The scene can be seen to emit a thick black smoke.

The explosion caused many villagers to be injured. Even more frightening is that there is a primary school and a kindergarten about one kilometer from the location of the explosion.

According to Caixin, there were injured primary school students, and even more seriously injured children were sent to hospitals in the town.
