a big fight went on in today's Ukrainian parliament session

KIEV, December 20, 2018, 17:01 - REGNUM Deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine staged a mass brawl in the meeting room. About it today, December 20, reports TV channel NewsOne.

The fight began deputies Yuri Bereza and Nestor Shufrich. Then they were joined by other deputies. The reason for the fight was the fact that a poster was posted on the tribune of the Rada criticizing the Ukrainian opposition politician Viktor Medvedchuk. Deputy Shufrich did not like this very much.

Shufrich tore a poster from the podium, after which he was attacked by the deputy Birch. The clash of two deputies turned into a mass brawl. During the fight, MP Yury Boyko suffered the most.

It is worth noting that the fight took place after the vote for the bill, which the canonical Orthodox Church in Ukraine can deprive of its name. We are talking about the draft law "On Freedom of Conscience and Religious Organizations." According to this draft law, those religious organizations whose leading center is located in Russia are obliged to indicate their affiliation in the title. 240 deputies voted for the bill with the necessary minimum of 226 votes.
