BTech student from TN hangs herself in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A BTech final year student was found hanging in her house at Lenin Nagar in Meerpet here late night on Wednesday. She is suspected to have been depressed and committed suicide, police said.
According to the Meerpet police, the girl, identified as Pragathi (21), had stayed back at home while her parents went to attend a function in Tamil Nadu, their native place.
While her parents were away, Pragathi was having dinner at her uncle’s house in the adjacent lane and stayed there in the night. She was also attending interviews at various companies while looking for a job.
On Wednesday night, when she did not turn up for dinner, her uncle came to her house and found her dead.
Meerpet police visited the spot and shifted the body to hospital for an autopsy. They suspect she was depressed over not finding a suitable job even after repeated trials.
Further investigation is on.
