22 deaths in Hebei Zhangjiakou Qiaodong District Zhen Shenghua Chemical Co., Ltd., a vehicle transporting dangerous chemicals exploded while waiting to enter the factory, and ignited 38 lorries

Xinhua News Agency, Shijiazhuang, November 28 (Reporter Bai Lin, Yang Fan) The reporter learned from the Zhangjiakou Municipal Government that at 0:41 on November 28, an explosion occurred in the vicinity of Hebei Shenghua Chemical Co., Ltd. in Qiaodong District, Zhangjiakou City. Public security firefighting site search and rescue confirmed that 22 people have been killed. It was initially confirmed that a vehicle transporting dangerous chemicals exploded while waiting to enter the factory, igniting the surrounding vehicles.

After preliminary investigation, the explosion site was Hebei Shenghua Chemical Co., Ltd., 38 large trucks and 12 small cars were involved in the accident. At present, the relevant local authorities are verifying the identity of the casualties and the specific causes of the explosion. Another 22 injured people have been sent to Hebei North College First Hospital and 251 hospitals for treatment. On-site search and rescue work and investigation of the cause of the accident are still under intense progress.
