Investigators of the specialized investigative unit for investigating the accident of the Main Investigation Department of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Irkutsk Region are conducting an additional investigation in connection with a traffic accident involving public transport, as a result of which an 86-year-old pensioner was injured.
Today, at about 11:00 am, at a bus stop at 58, Karl Liebknecht Street, a regional center, a pensioner tried to enter the bus, which was on route 80. Not convinced of the safety of their actions and, without completing the landing, the driver began to move with the door open, causing the passenger to fall on the asphalt, and her legs fell under the rear wheels of the vehicle.
After receiving information about the incident, the traffic police inspectors immediately installed the driver and delivered him to give explanations.
According to preliminary information, the victim may be diagnosed with open fractures of both legs. Upon subsequent confirmation of the findings of medical personnel, investigators of the Main Directorate of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs intend to qualify the actions of the bus driver in accordance with part 1 of article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - “Violation of traffic rules that resulted in serious injury to human health”.
In connection with the abandonment of the place of the accident in respect of the 42-year-old chauffeur, a protocol was drawn up in accordance with article 12.24 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation. He is now being considered in court.
