April 18 2019   A member of the public has been injured after a number of shots were fired and petrol bombs thrown at police during a major security operation in Londonderry on Thursday night. PSNI officers were searching houses in the Creggan area when the disorder broke out. Police have confirmed that shots have been fired in the area and appealed for calm. "We are currently responding to reports that a member of the public has been injured and I would appeal for calm," Superintendent Alan Hutton said.
